Little League's Birth-date Cutoff Takes Effect for 2018 Season

Little League International has implemented for the 2018 season a new cutoff for birthdays from April 30th to August 31st.  What impact does this have on your child?  Any child who is born between June and August will now be that age when the season starts.  See example below:

Using old cutoff of April 30th - your child is 8 and turns 9 in June.  They are considered 8 at the start of the season and eligible to play another year of Coach Pitch.

Using the new cutoff of August 31st - your child is 8 and turns 9 in June.  They are 9 at the start of the season and move up to the Minors Division.
